Mission Statement:  The Ocean Beach Martial Arts School is formed under the auspice of a Not-For-Profit Community Co-Operative. Our instructors and senior students agree that it takes a village (think globally and act locally) - we are focused on bringing the gift of the martial arts to our community of Ocean Beach.

Brief History:  The Ocean Beach Martial Arts School has been offering martial arts instruction, out of the Ocean Beach Recreation Center, since 1975.  It is one of the oldest continuously running Tae Kwon Do schools on the west cost.  We were formed under Grand Master Duk Sung Son's World Tae Kwon Do Association (WTA), and are proud of our rich lineage (the Father of American Tae Kwon Do, GM Jhoon Rhee, was a senior student of GM Son - GM Son arrived in the U.S., in 1963, at the invitation of GM Rhee).
